Connectivity Business Manager

The Connectivity Business Manager manages vendor service solutions by providing training, product demonstrations and other information to the Symmetry Sales, Applications engineer teams, and various support teams.

Symmetry Electronics is an electronic component distributor of semiconductors, within the TTI Family of Specialists.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Be the Subject Matter Expert regarding vendor’s service solutions including network connectivity, network cloud solutions and back-end application capabilities.

Work with the Symmetry suppliers to understand their unique solutions, selling points and roadmap. Understand how the solutions incentivize the Symmetry sales team.

Conduct training, product demonstrations and other information sessions to the sales team and customers including their support teams.

Facilitate regularly scheduled supplier reviews to ensure exceptional performance to the annual business plan, timely and consistent follow through on commitments and a clear understanding of the value that Symmetry brings its suppliers.

Serve as a consultant to the Symmetry sales team by being directly involved in supporting major opportunities, providing direct supplier vendor solution support.

Understand Supplier Account Manager needs and make recommendations on how to position vendor’s service solutions to customers.

Be the Point of Contact between the Symmetry team & suppliers.

Monitor and communicate supplier performance and quality excellence.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

5+ years’ experience in working for a cellular network connectivity company such as a tier 1 carrier or reseller of wireless data connectivity. Experience with IoT solutions including the use of cloud services and back-end platform design. Understanding of the full IoT solution stack and potential solution providers in each area of the stack.

SKILLS, & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge and understanding of wireless technologies, cellular data connectivity, cloud solutions and back-end platform development.
  • Understanding of how a full IoT solution is structured and implemented.
  • Experience in selling or directly working with customers in understanding their IoT solution needs.
  • Possess a strong interest in Internet of Things, gadgets, and technology
  • Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills for communicating, and building relationships, with extensive internal and external customers.

Total Annual Compensation: $67,000 – $90,000/year. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.

This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
