Key job responsibilities
• Be a UX design thought and executional leader for our team and larger organization. Learn and Be Curious about the employee, and the business, and communicate effectively to educate others on the art and science of UX
• Apply human-centered design thinking not only to the visual and interaction design of the products we build, but also leverage your expertise to affect change in HR processes, adult learning systems, and overall organizational strategy
• Partner with UX Researchers, as well as conduct your own research and experimentation to inform our product roadmap
• Work closely with software engineers, data engineers, product managers, and scientists to drive new feature creation.
• Work closely with stakeholders to optimize various business processes and operations
• Thrive in ambiguity and Earn Trust to build coalitions of cross-functional leaders to invent and innovate on behalf of our customers

A day in the life

As a Senior UX Designer on the Workforce Solutions Team, you will be a UX thought leader for an inclusive and engaged team. You’ll have an opportunity to collaborate daily with a team of fellow designers, UX researchers, software development engineers, applied research scientists, and product managers. In this role you’ll share work regularly with design team peers, stakeholders and senior leadership, and impact strategy for both net new experiences as well as guide existing products toward iterative, customer obsessed improvement.

The Workforce Solutions team delivers a suite of products aimed at promoting a positive and flexible employee experience and challenging the status quo. This multidisciplinary team has created truly meaningful products and experiences for over a million Amazon employees. The team’s mission directly contributes to Amazon’s leadership principle: “Strive to be the World’s Best Employer”. Our team works across flexible scheduling, organizational planning, and talent development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of design experience

– Knowledge of design tools such as Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, and Dreamweaver

– Have an available online portfolio

– Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

– Experience with UX design of complex workflows

– Mobile User Experience Design Experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
