The successful candidate for the role of Senior Engineer, Application Development for Financial Systems, must demonstrate skill in designing, developing, testing, and implementing new application development, modifications, and enhancements for the investment accounting systems. Additionally, this role will facilitate maintenance and support activities for the interactions between investment systems components, including Bloomberg and PAM. Other duties include production of reports from investment systems data sources, as well as diagnosing, isolating, debugging, and resolving systems issues.
Responsibilities
- Works well in team-oriented environment, or individually, based upon nature of tasks.
- Effectively manages work tasks, issues resolution and change requests in a timely manner.
- Compiles documentation as needed.
- Completes all assignments using Protective standard ITIL procedures.
- Works with the Investment Accounting staff to implement modifications and enhancements to system process flows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field OR equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of applicable work experience in Computer Systems Development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and solve complex problems.
- Detail oriented with ability to compile accurate technical documentation.
- Ability to understand large, complex applications.
- Strong computer skills; MS Windows, MS Office
- Database tools – Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS, SSIS
- Development experience – C#.NET, .NET Core Web API, Console Applications
- Frontend UI framework – Angular v15
- TFS, Git experience
- Familiarity with investment accounting products, such as PAM for Investments (Princeton Financial Systems) and Bloomberg Gateway is a plus.
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees. This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
