What will I be doing?
As the Senior Project Manager, PIP/FRCM Project Management – Architecture, Design & Construction, you will provide project management for hotel renovations within the Focused Service or All Suites Brands that are required by a Product Improvement Plan (PIP) or Fixed Renovation Cycle. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and mentorship, carrying out construction and design standards, monitoring renovation construction activities, and achieving compliance with the PIP scope and deadlines. This includes reviewing architectural and engineering documents, reviewing renovation progress through photographs, video, and other audiovisual means, and conducting on-site construction inspections. You will collaborate and work closely with other Hilton functions, including Design Services, Engineering Support, Food & Beverage Team, Spa and Fitness Team, Brand Opening Team, Brand Performance Support, and Quality Assurance.
More specifically, you will:
- Initiate kickoff meetings with franchisees, external partners, and other Hilton Team Members for each project to explain the role of AD&C, share prototype drawings/standard drawings, and reinforce the PIP scope/timelines
- Actively review detailed architectural plans, specifications, construction submittals, and shop drawings ensuring compliance with Hilton standards
- Work to immediately address issues to franchisees outlining issues that are non-compliant while also offering creative and thoughtful solutions
- Conduct and participate in meetings, conference calls, and webinars as needed to explain Hilton requirements to franchisees and other external partners
- During renovations, you will review and track progress via technology (photographs, video, or other audio-visual means, e.g. “Facetime”)
- When needed, travel to visit the project site during a renovation to ensure compliance with approved plans and submittals and address any issues immediately
- Continually update project data in Hilton’s tracking system by providing accurate project activities and forecasted renovation start and completion dates
- Review and propose revisions to standards and prototype drawings as part of Hilton’s ongoing document maintenance/improvement efforts

- Extensive knowledge of means and methods of construction as well as the ability to recommend “on the spot” solutions to unforeseen construction problems
- General understanding of building systems: Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, and Civil
- Experience managing multiple projects from start to completion, experiencing all phases of the design and construction process
- Understand construction sequencing and accurately forecast construction timelines and completion dates
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Five (5) years of design, construction, and renovation experience in development, construction, and renovation projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Travel as needed (approximately 10%)
It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- BA/BS/Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design or Construction related field
- Experience in the hospitality industry in design construction renovation
- Licensed or Certified in Architect, Engineer, Interior Designer, (NCIDQ), Project Manager (PMP)
- Experience with BlueBeam
