Responsibilities
Peraton is looking to add a Senior Technical Program Manager. The qualified candidate will have program ownership and accountability for a diverse team of technical personnel with tasks ranging from systems administration, cloud application development and integration projects/programs. The Senior Technical Program Manager oversees and manages the technical and program aspects of multiple ongoing projects and provides leadership, oversight and governance for the technical solutions, security compliance, project management, deliverables, executive client level communication and operational readiness.
What you will do:
Technical Responsibilities:
- Provide technical interaction with the client and application development teams regarding solutions, requirements, resources, testing, issues, and risks.
- Provide expert thought leadership and enhancement of the client’s technical and operational infrastructure and methodologies and lead the implementation of industry best practices.
- Lead research efforts for new cloud tools, technology, and services in the cloud to meet application and security requirements. (i.e., IaaS, PaaS, DR, cost management)
Program Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the ownership and accountability of program.
- Responsible for the overall program administration, contract management, financial planning project planning, tasking, scheduling, communications, problem resolution, deliverables, and technical performance of the project activities defined in the Task Order Statements of Work (SOW).
- Manage a mixed team of more than 60 employees and contractors who are closely engaged with the client, ensuring positions are filled on a timely manner with qualified personnel.
- Manage the program with multiple projects of significant complexity, size, risk, and complex interdependencies.
- Conduct project and issue management (including staffing, financials, quality, status reporting, risk/issue reporting) for assigned scope of work and make decisions that impact the team through regular consultation with senior management.
- Review and approval all integrated project schedules and deliverables and ensure they are aligned with client requirements.
- Ensure all project schedules are on track, deliverables are met, and client escalations are addressed.
- Monitor progress and reports to customer and manager. Ensures quality of team’s work and on-time completion.
- Serve as the primary point of contact to the customer program leads. Interacts with client to understand program requirements and timelines, to ensure resources availability, and existing assets to leverage.
- Interface with executive level customers and internal/external stakeholders to ensure client-satisfaction regarding program goals and objectives.
- Provide executive level status and monthly reports regarding the tracking and presentation of program deliverables.
- Lead joint stakeholder meetings and maintains strong, positive interoffice and client relations. Provide representation in cross-organizational workgroups, communities of practice, project teams, etc. Collaborates with client to define new projects and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure escalations do not occur within the program by taking a proactive role in the constant vigilance and rigor to emphasize compliance throughout all levels of the program (systems, personnel, and data).
- Monitor contract, subcontract, and funding; prepare forecasts of program financial performance. Develop and deliver required contract, departmental, project and/or financial reports.
- Acquire follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility and support new business development by leading major proposals personally, or through subordinate program/project managers.
- Maintain aggressive efforts to achieve objectives.
Qualifications
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 to 15 years of experience or a Masters Degree and 10 to 13 years of experience. Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
- 10 years plus experience with contact center technologies and knowledge of IT infrastructure technology process and tools.
- 10 years technical and program management experience, including diverse experience in the development, integration, operations and/or maintenance of complex systems and technologies.
- Excellent understanding of application development, telecom networks and contact center operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement with demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments apply problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to changing events and competing priorities internally and with the client.
- Effective oral and written communications skills, capable of translating and presenting complex technical and project management concepts to management and customers, through presentations and other written formats.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).

Target Salary Range
$135,000 – $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
