What you’ll be doing…
Kiplinger is the leader in personal finance news and business reporting. It’s the go-to destination for personal finance information in the US providing advice on a range of topics including investing, tax, retirement planning and more.
We’re looking for an experienced personal finance editor to join our growing team reporting to the Senior Digital Editor, Kiplinger.com.You’ll be driven to help our audiences understand the specifics of personal finance with guidance that offers our readers actionable advice. Whether it’s how to save money on streaming, what the latest bank collapse means for their savings, the best rewards credit cards on the market or how to find a mortgage, the subjects we cover every day are varied and require a creative understanding of what keeps audiences engaged and loyal.
You’ll translate complex information into practical, easy-to-understand, actionable guidance for our readers. You will work with the personal finance writers, the news editor and the senior digital editor to identify the trends and topics we should be covering and to make sure all our key content is ranking and performing. You’ll also be working closely with our ecomm/affiliate teams to ensure our content is well-optimized for commercial success.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…
- Strong track record of driving growth in the personal finance space
- Experienced in managing and coaching team members to develop their skills and careers
- Ability to think and plan strategically
- Ability to break down complex subjects into easily understandable and engaging content
- Highly numerate and comfortable with spreadsheets
- Able to work quickly but accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good understanding of SEO best practices
- Knows how to work effectively within a wider, matrixed team.
