Meet the team:
The IP department at Dexcom is responsible for a wide variety of issues relating to Intellectual property procurement and enforcement across patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. The IP Ops team supports these efforts by providing systems and processes as well as IP support necessary to enable and accelerate innovation at Dexcom.
Where you come in:
• You will support all stages of the patent lifecycle, including prosecution, docketing, maintenance, defense, litigation, and other corporate matters as they relate to IP
• You understand both U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, including US, PCT and International procedures, docketing, information disclosure statements, etc.
• You will communicate with outside counsel, foreign associates, attorneys and internal staff members
• You are comfortable working in and maintaining aspects of the IPM (IP management) system including timely docketing/de-docketing of actionable dates when applicable
• You have experience obtaining signatures for patent documents (i.e. declarations, assignments)
• You are passionate about operations or learning to be part of an IP legal operations team.
• You will assist annuities management and attorneys with special requests/projects
What makes you successful:
• You must have a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience, preferably in a large IP firm or in-house IP dept.
• You must have a thorough understanding of docketing processes, workflows, and US and international prosecution procedures
• You have the ability to be adaptable and maintain a positive attitude
• You have solid communication skills to efficiently and effectively work with internal team and outside counsel to meet goals and objectives
• You have a strong ability to prioritize, monitor, meet deadlines, and manage projects in a fast-paced environment to ensure matters are timely handled

Flex Workplace:
• Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
Non-Exempt Salary Details:
• The annualized base salary range for this role is $78,900 to $131,500. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
Experience and Education
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.
