Department Overview
Major Infrastructure Delivery (MID) is an exciting organization with over 1,000 coworkers, 10,000+ contract partners, and a $2.96 billion budget. The following are some of the key areas we are accountable for delivering in MID:
- 10,000 miles of electric distribution lines to reduce wildfire risk
- System Inspections to identify risks to safety and reliability

Position Summary
Leads teams to ensure compliance with the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) General Order (GO) 165. Ensures the electric distribution operations system facilities are in compliance with General Orders 95 and 128 through an efficient, compliant execution of GO165 inspections and patrols.
The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and assigned headquarters based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $ 144,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $ 244,000.00
OR
Minimum Base Salary (California) $ 137,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (California) $ 232,000.00
Job Responsibilities
- Leads staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and coaching, and rewards and recognition
- Manages capital and expense spending to ensure work identified in the program plan is completed and productivity cost targets are achieved

- Performs field quality reviews (inspections) of employee’s work
- Develops department long-term direction, operating plans, budgets, and performance metrics
- Represents the company in contacts with other utilities, various industry boards, committees, regulatory agencies, governmental bodies, and other private organizations
- Reviews current work practices for operational efficiencies and deficiencies
- Oversees, and implements policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards to support business operating plans and goals. Presents findings and makes recommendations to Director
- Prepares data and other reports for submission to regulatory agencies to fulfill compliance requirements. Provides guidance on the development of tools and processes that help the departments efficiently and effectively manage their compliance requirements
- Travel may be required
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
- Must obtain a California Drivers’ License by first day of employment
- Experience in electric utility, 10yrs
- Leadership experience, 5yrs
- Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies, 2yrs
