Senior Manager Field Operations- Residential

The Senior Manager Field Operations is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of an entire project through budgeting, leading a team, scheduling, document control, ensuring quality standards are met and completion of flooring projects following Company standards and best practices. Ensuring Project Managers (PM) have the tools and resources needed to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget and follow quality standards.

Essential functions
• Oversee day to day operations of residential flooring installation by supervising staff responsible for material secured and independent subcontractors scheduled
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion, uses installation scheduling software, directs field personnel, is a problem solver, establishes rapport with builders and installers
• Receives installation requests from the sales staff.
• Assign/coordinate job-project to PM’s and ensure projects are progressing on time and on budget
• Scheduling and confirmation that all components for the project are in place.
• On a weekly basis assemble a report outlining all project scheduled for installation over the next 10 days.
• Check that each project has all of the necessary components present
• On daily basis oversee the staging of materials for jobs scheduled for the following two business days.
• Work with warehouse personnel to ensure that each project has all its material staged in one place and identified with the proper paperwork
• Daily calls to end-user customers to confirm upcoming installations.
• Oversee the loading of materials by the installer
• Afternoon check-ins with installers post-installation to review how the project went, obtain any feedback from them and request photos of finished installation.
• Field customer post-installation concerns, complaints & work with PM/Salesperson to obtain a resolution for the problem.
• Update the Job Log with completion dates of projects.

Work environment
• This position is on-site in Timonium MD, with travel to client sites in the MD region.
• Workdays are Monday through Friday. Weekend work as required.

Physical Demands
• Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Occasionally move product boxes up to 20 pounds for various needs.

Travel required
• 30% travel required.

Required qualifications
• High School Diploma
• 5 years of flooring experience with technical competency
• Subject matter expert on flooring products and techniques
• Understanding of floor plans and ability to read contraction drawings
• Microsoft Office required.
