Senior Foreign Tradecraft Analyst

Responsibilities

The Senior Foreign Tradecraft Analyst (Technical) with Peraton Labs will design, implement, and maintain advanced awareness of foreign technical methodologies. Utilize knowledge and understanding of technology to advise and help PL develop capabilities that can thrive in a variety of environments to include USMIL. Support and advise technical staff during the creative process of building operational technology our government and USMIL customers can utilize. The Sr. Foreign Tradecraft Analyst will perform one or more of the following tasks:

  • Promote team oriented mindset and integrated work-ethic within Peraton Labs to successfully produce viable technical solutions.
  • Help design, implement, and maintain the Peraton Labs foreign tradecraft lab infrastructure.
  • Help build rapport and relationships with government customers to increase insight into technical programs in development and operational needs
  • Research, identify non-standard techniques to support global operations
  • Help evaluate and internally test capabilities in anticipation of supporting operational activities
  • Identify new focus areas and then collaborate with technical staff to research, develop, and guide developers towards newly created feasible capabilities in support of National Security initiatives for our Government customers.
  • Help to evaluate and tailor a wide array of existing or emerging capabilities being pursued by Peraton Labs technical staff.
  • Provide mentoring to junior developers while assisting them with understanding foreign technical tradecraft.
  • Assist with Program Management functions
  • Help coordinate tasking and direction for developers working on tradecraft-related projects

Qualifications

Education and years of experience required:

  • BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7

Requirements:

  • Experience interacting and supporting USMIL initiatives in a technical capacity.
  • Experience with technical communications platforms
  • Experiencewith desktop and mobile emulation
  • Expertise in using, tailoring, and configuring tradecraft-enhancing technology
  • Experience finding and fixing flaws in tradecraft-enhancing technology
  • Experience writing test plans for technology pending deployment approval

Helpful skills:

  • Training in Cyber tradecraft courses and utilizing technical knowledge obtained outside of training :SANS (Cyber Security track)
  • Advising technical teams on foreign Cyber and physical obstacles presented to user base.
  • Desktop virtualization: VMWare, VirtualBox, ProxMox, Xen Server, etc…
  • Mobile virtualization: Genymotion, Android AVDs,
  • Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance
  • US Citizenship Required

Target Salary Range

$146,000 – $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
