Business Analyst – SAP SD

Position Description

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Play a key role in the solution design, and implementation of systems on various projects and support initiatives within a functional area
  • Collaborate with business counterparts globally to ensure successful implementation of projects, and maintenance of optimum service levels on various system change requests
  • Ensure that proper Change Control and Project Management processes are adhered to
  • Support internal customers within Applied Medical to ensure business process design and relevant Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) configuration is in line with the business needs
  • Design software solutions by collaborating with system developers
  • Develop Proof of Concept (POC) on assigned project deliverables, and conduct testing, to ensure that the system is designed to perform as intended
  • Perform data migration and cut over activities, and providing post go live support on various projects and support initiatives for our United States (US), European Union (EU), and Australian businesses
  • Collaborate with business counterparts and software development teams to ensure successful implementations and maintenance of optimum service levels
  • Perform configuration of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) in areas such as Order Management, Pricing, Billing, Product Availability Check, and Rebates
  • Perform configuration of SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in areas such as Account Management, Activities, Leads, Opportunities, Campaigns, and Territory Management
  • Collaborate with various Corporate technology teams such as SAP Development, Mobile, and Web Development to implement user-friendly applications that are easy to maintain and expand
  • Provide level two support on all the Sales and Field applications to address user requests and resolve system issues, which may involve working in non-business hours occasionally to support high-severity issues impacting the global business users
  • Develop design documents, functional specifications, test scripts, and assisting in issue resolution, and risk mitigation on projects
  • Provide functional and technical knowledge to support development tasks
  • Perform peer reviews of system configuration and software design specifications
  • Learning business processes and relevant software technologies and participating in the implementation of new systems, process improvements, and solutions in one or more application areas within SAP
  • Research and evaluate new functionalities within the SAP system
  • Participate in the Business Analyst Development Program
  • Facilitate select training workshops, as needed

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Management Information Systems
  • Minimum of four years of hands-on experience using SAP SD or SAP S/4HANA in a full life cycle implementation with recent releases of SAP, in a client facing role or in an internal Consulting role
  • More than two years of hands-on experience implementing and configuring the SAP CRM module on projects in a functional or a technical capacity
  • Experience with configuration of SAP CRM functions and master data, such as WEBUI, Partner Processing, Organizational Model, Busines and Technical Roles, Actions Profile, Determination Procedures, Middleware, and Territory Management
  • Excellent business process design experience using SAP
  • Understanding of business objectives and value management, strong verbal, and written communication
  • Good understanding of integration touch points with one or more SAP modules and demonstrated ability to design integrated solutions across Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules
  • Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skill
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with clients, co-workers, and management
  • Fair knowledge and experience designing system solutions in one or more SAP modules
  • Ability to train other team members
  • Integration knowledge of SAP ECC with other SAP applications such as SAP CRM, SAP GTS
  • SAP Certification in one or more application area
  • Knowledge and experience working in FDA CFR Part 11 compliant environment
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform well in a team environment

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Experience with S4/HANA in at least one application area, such as Sales
  • Experience with mobile application development using SAP Fiori
  • Project Management Certification or demonstrated project management skills

Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $95000 – $135000 / year for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in Californiabased on the date of this job posting.
