Senior Associate, Anaplan Model Builder – Corporate FP&A

The Finance organization at New York Life has selected Anaplan as our enterprise performance management system (“planning tool”) to support Financial Planning & Analysis. This system will be managed through a Center of Excellence, consisting of a corporate team and federated team of model builders. The Anaplan Model Builder will be working closely with the Solution Architect and the various functional stakeholders to design and develop new models in capabilities in Anaplan.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Translate Finance business requirements into technical design in Anaplan
  • Configure Anaplan models – modules, lists, dashboards, and other model settings to meet business requirements
  • Perform unit testing and support system integration testing
  • Work closely with the users to validate requirements
  • Monitor and maintain integrations to and from Anaplan and maintain data governance
  • Work closely with end users to support Anaplan model functionality and troubleshoot user issues
  • Administer user provisioning based on roles designed in the tool
  • Update admin guide and training materials, as necessary

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of financial analysis experience
  • Expert skills in excel modeling including pivoting, modeling, macros, charts functionality
  • Strong aptitude for emerging technologies and digitally savvy
  • Experience in multi-dimensional data structures and data governance practices
  • 5+ years of systems implementation experience with widely used planning tools like Cognos, Hyperion, BPC,QlikView, Tableau, etc. is a plus
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication, including presentation skills
  • Certified Anaplan model-builder (Level 1 & 2) with a minimum of 3+ years of Anaplan model building experience
  • Understanding of leading practices in Anaplan

Salary range: $72,500-$107,500

Overtime eligible: Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
