Senior Analyst, Pricing Strategy

What you’ll do

As the Senior Analyst of Pricing Strategy, you will be responsible for enabling our executive team to make key strategic decisions by creating a clear, insightful fact base and highlighting the strategic implications of that analysis. In this role, we are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented analyst who can not only drive the analysis but also deliver clear recommendations on how to improve DocuSign’s monetization strategy. You will collaborate extensively with product marketing, product management, partner marketing, sales, and finance to accelerate growth across our company as we create a new software category.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Pricing Strategy

Responsibility

  • Build a fact base and communicate insights to support some of DocuSign’s most important strategic decisions
  • Analyze DocuSign sales data and product usage data to develop key business insights (e.g., Who’s buying what? Who’s using what? Where do we have opportunities to create more customer value?)
  • Identify, incorporate, and analyze external secondary research to supplement our internal data (e.g., government research, analyst reports, public company financials)
  • Create and analyze data from primary research (e.g., customer surveys, conjoint surveys) conducted by DocuSign and our research partners
  • Communicate business insights identified in the analysis by creating clear, concise, and persuasive PowerPoint presentations
  • Understand customer needs, create customer value, and highlight competitive differentiation through pricing and packaging strategy
  • Understand value-based packaging and pricing principles
  • Support DocuSign’s evolving monetization strategy, working cross-functionality to deliver sales enablement and assets that bring our strategies to life
  • Develop an understanding of DocuSign’s global product portfolio, including how products work, their value prop., key target audiences and use cases

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years of related experience with a Master’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably at a SaaS technology company
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Tableau with the ability to clean, blend, prepare, and organize large quantities of data

Preferred

  • Experience with cloud software or high tech preferably in a SaaS / aaS technology company
  • Previous analytical experience at a consulting or financial services firm, or Strategy organization (e.g., Sales Strategy/Ops role)
  • Experience building customer research, including conjoint surveys
  • Advanced skill level and demonstrable experience distilling big data sets into actionable insights that drive business value
  • Advanced skill level and demonstrable experience creating, visualizing and presenting data in a visual format and the ability to explain these insights clearly and concisely
  • Strong collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $105,100 – $161,775 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $98,800 – $135,850 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $98,800 – $144,550 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
