Sanctuary for Families is New York’s leading service provider and advocate for survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking and related forms of gender violence. Every year, Sanctuary empowers thousands of adults and children to move from fear and abuse to safety and stability, transforming lives through a comprehensive range of services. We provide a range of wrap-around services to help survivors rebuild their lives in the aftermath of abuse, and work to end gender violence through three key strategies: direct services, outreach and training, and systems-change advocacy. Our services are available in 11 locations throughout New York City.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Administrative Associate plays a key role in supporting the Immigration Intervention Project (IIP), in accomplishing its goals, with a focus on data collection/analysis; ensuring accurate and comprehensive data tracking and reporting; and technical assistance and general administrative duties. Other responsibilities may include assisting with case management, including client advocacy and grant request preparation, review and compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform administrative support services.
• Execute IIP compliance with Legal Center data/case file retention policy
• Oversee IIP’s client databases
• Handle the processing and data entry of IIP mail
• Manage IIP’s referral and waitlist system
• Assist with limited legal filing preparations and case management, on an as-needed basis
• Maintain an updated database of IIP training materials, manuals and pro bono portal samples
• Collaborate with the Data Team to manage and provide analysis on data and statistical reports
• Coordinate and monitor programmatic requirements of government grants, assist in drafting of grant reports
• Work with IIP Director and Senior Attorneys and Immigration Specialists to manage and approve grant requests
• Assist IIP Director with new staff onboarding
• Provide coordination and logistic support for IIP special events and meetings
• Provide task supervision to interns, fellows, and volunteers.
• Perform any other administrative IIP-related duties or special projects, as assigned by IIP Director
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook
• Experience in data tracking and reporting strongly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, organizational, analytical and verbal/written communication
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in a culturally diverse environment.
• Commitment to serving and advancing the rights of survivors of gender violence.
Budgeted Salary: $53,000-$55,000 annually
Work position is currently Hybrid; must be able to adhere to schedule at job location
Vaccination Policy: Proof of vaccination or proof of first dose with scheduled 2nd dose within 30 days is required.

Salary Description
$53,000 – $55,000
