LIVE is the most entertaining place on the planet. Job Summary: Reports to the Security Management Team, will perform inspections and ensures that post orders are being followed. Coaches and trains personnel. Carries out administrative procedures as required. Responds to incidents and may provide service coverage as needed. Primary job function is to supervise Security Officers at L.A. LIVE, representing the organization in an exemplary manner. Essential Duties:
- Must demonstrate comprehension of all tasks and maintain all training and certification requirements of Security Officer I & II.
- Provides supervisory oversight to security staff; ensures enforcement of all employee policy and procedures, conducts post inspections and prepares corrective and counseling documents.
- Ensures proper campus security requirements are met; deploys operations and event security staff as required, ensures compliance with break policies.
- Ensures staff preparedness; conducts event and shift briefings, provides training on policies, procedures, safety training and information related to campus activities.
- Assists in compliance of campus policy and procedure; provides for escalation resolution for violations, complaints and general concerns.
- Prepares and completes incident reports as required, providing detailed documentation of all significant incidents.
- Coordinates and facilitates emergency response, as policy dictates. Responds to all significant incidents provides operational and institutional knowledge, providing assistance to responding emergency response personnel.
- Assists in the coordination of interdepartmental response.
- Performs any additional duties as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum education level of High School Diploma or its equivalency.
- A minimum of 2 years of related work experience, including supervisory experience.
- Previous security experience and current Guard Card required.
- Minimum of six (6) months experience of L.A. LIVE Supervisor I.
- Managed a minimum of five (5) events as an event supervisor.
- Minimum of three (3) months in a Supervisor II/ Watch Commander role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal in English) skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
- Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with building staff, guests, clients and vendors.
- An understanding of the rules of law and relevant penal codes pertaining to security.
- Strong teamwork etiquette.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in assignment per event.
- Ability to maintain patron, team member, and company confidentiality.
- Able to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations, as needed.
- Ability stand/walk/run and climb stairs for more than four (4) hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to communicate, listen, and observe continuously.
- Available to work at least five (5) event shifts per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to be certified as a Crime Suppression Unit team member and completed supervisor promotional interview and selection process.
- CSU Certified.
- CPR / AED / First Aid Certified.
