The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.
The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Plumbing Technician to install, maintain, and repair sinks, pipes, showers, water heaters, pumps, toilets, plumbing equipment, and any other plumbing system components used for water distribution and waste disposal in in Fort Lyon facilities. This position should exercise sufficient knowledge and technical skill to complete plumbing repairs independently. This position is located at 30999 CR 15, Las Animas, Colorado 81054and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Essential Job Functions
- Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components.
- Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment.
- Assemble and install valves and fittings.
- Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping, controls, underground storm sanitary, water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, showers, water heaters, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim.
- Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing and related materials.
- Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
- Prepare budges and order supplies.
- Keep Daily reports.
- Meet required COVID-19 vaccination(s), as defined by applicable law, regulation, or guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Qualifications Summary
- Journeymen’s/Master Plumbers License preferred, education/certificate may suffice.
- Prior Plumbing experience required.
