Responsibilities
Position Requires Candidate to be located in the Columbia, MD area. NO remote telecommuting allowed, however, occasional telework is allowed. In office rotation is required about 4x per month (2 days per pay period).
Peraton is seeking a Java Developer to join our team of qualified and diverse team of developers building the next-generation of customer engagement systems for federal service agencies. The ideal candidate will help build Web and backend application/services for a credentialing/case management system. The ideal candidate will use Java/Spring based REST APIs along with a Web 2.0 framework and a continuous integration environment.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- US Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain /maintain a Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years experience or Masters degree and 6-8 years experience or high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience developing and implementing software solutions using:
- AngularJS
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- Bootstrap
- Java
- 5+ years of Java development experience in order to build enterprise applications.
- 2+ years experience with using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git).
- 1 year leading a Dev team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a large scale Federal IT Program.
- Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework.
- Active Secret Level Security Clearance preferred.

Range for Posting
Salary Minimum: $57,500
Salary Mid: $115,000
Salary Maximum: $143,800
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
