Position Summary
The University of Denver, Daniels College of Business, is seeking a Salesforce/CRM administrator. This position is accountable for the management and oversight of the Colleges CRM (currently Salesforce) including the design, deployment and support of all modifications.
Essential Functions
In addition to following the University of Denver’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
System Expertise
- Serve as an expert for the Salesforce org at Daniels, including both core functionality and all related applications and integration, including RollupHelper, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Pardot (MCAE)
- Identify, recommend and implement changes to business processes, technical processes, system configurations, and other aspects of the Salesforce.com/CRM service. In particular, investigate, recommend and implement changes to Salesforce.com fields, page layouts, dashboards and reports as well as new enhancements such as custom objects, workflows, email alerts and templates. Maintain multiple user roles, security, profiles, workflow rules, etc.
- Coordinate with the University’s IT and Risk Management organizations to establish and implement data governance protocols, processes and procedures; ensure implementation and adoption of these standards to achieve high levels of data quality and trust
Requirements Gathering, Business Process and Documentation
- Continuously engage with stakeholders across the College to evaluate needs, gather requirements, analyze business processes, and find creative ways to leverage the Salesforce CRM in support of evolving business needs
- Create documentation describing tools, processes, and procedures vital for the development and maintenance of the CRM solution and associated applications. Develop and maintain CRM training materials and provide ongoing training to various stakeholders across College
- Manage and implement a portfolio of key projects across all departments to ensure the adoption and sustainability of Salesforce as the primary customer relationship management platform for business development initiatives across the organization.
- Determine data needs and develop reports and dashboards for business partners
- Provide training and documentation in the use of Salesforce for business needs.
Community Engagement and Innovation
- Actively participate in the Salesforce user community forum to generate ideas & resolve issues
- Maintain proficiency and acquire knowledge by reading trade journals, attending conferences, seminars and classes, participating in discussions with colleagues, peer institutions and coordinating with vendors.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Certified Salesforce administrator
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce
- 2 years’ experience supporting Salesforce as a CRM solution
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Experience working in higher education
- Familiarity with higher education technology solutions such as 12twenty, Slate, Ellucian Advance, Banner
Working Environment
Standard office environment.
Unexpected interruptions often occur, and stress level is moderate to high.
Noise level is quiet to moderate.
Physical Activities
Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.
Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The salary grade for the position is 11.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
