Overview
The Risk Management Associate Temp (3 months) will be responsible for assisting the Risk Management team with health and safety program administration, workers’ compensation, general liability and other insurance claims as required. Responsibilities include supporting incident investigation, health and safety program compliance and claims administration duties for workers compensation, general liability, property and unemployment claims.
Responsibilities
- Workers Compensation and General Liability Program Administration
- Conduct incident investigations for customer and employee injuries to obtain all relevant incident facts.
- Capture all required data in our incident management system and provide information to third party administrator as needed.
- Act as injury counsellor for injured employees to ensure they receive treatment and return to work in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Monitor return to work status of all injured employees and ensure any identified issue or concern is addressed for both employees and supervisors.
- Ensure partners (third party administrators, attorneys) have all required information to handle workers compensation claims.
- Ensure state-specific safety material, notices and postings are provided to stores and employees.
- Perform follow-up safety investigation and communication with stores to improve safety and accident prevention.
- Global Health and Safety Program Administration
- Participate in SPARC Safety Committee Meetings and support Committee initiatives, including incident investigation, safety reporting, safety meeting review, trend identification and supporting all aspects of safety program development.
- Monitor compliance of health and safety requirements by country
- Participate in claim review calls with insurance broker and support required follow-up activities.
- Support corporate insurance program renewal activities.
- Support invoice and incident expense payment process.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Sharepoint.
ADDITIONAL DATA
The salary range for this position is $20.57 – $23.92 per hour.
