Responsibilities
Regional Sales Manager – Americas Northeast
Job Summary:
The “Regional Sales Manager – Americas Northeast” will be responsible for demand creation of Cree LED portfolio of High Power, Mid Power and High Brightness LED components, driving business growth within the assigned region to include assigned strategic accounts. The major focus is to actively manage and develop the existing customer-base while expanding into high growth new accounts and will be accountable for achieving and exceeding the yearly sales targets, reporting to the VP of Sales in the Americas. The position will be remote from your home office based within the region of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of sales representative firms and distribution partners to drive revenue growth in the America’s region.
- Driving design wins and customer relationships with the goal of growing LED market share and establishing Cree LED as the leader in LED components and solutions.
- Manage the sales forecasting process, funnel process and regional engagement strategy to drive the business. Successfully communicating processes and strategy to senior management.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with key customer decision makers and senior management. Develop a systematic process of enabling LED senior management engagement with key customers on a regular schedule. Develop an annual strategic plan for the region and participate in the development of the annual Americas strategic plan.
- Drive sales indirectly through sales representative and distribution channel creating and executing close relationship to the whole sales chain of partners, and by actively selling and promoting Cree LED at customer providing significant face-time to the most important accounts.
- Collaborate with field sales internal peers, marketing and customer service to accomplish revenue and account relationship objectives.
- Align with management and engineering teams, applications experts, production and manufacturing operations stakeholders.
Important Skills
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Sales or Marketing or equivalent
- 10+ years selling semiconductor products, specifically in LED Lighting accounts
- Deep understanding of LED lighting market with technical understanding of the specifics in LED technology.
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of CRM and other tools to manage and communicate priorities, forecasting and efficient management of customer base and sales channel team.
- Experience collaborating with the channel manager to drive growth in a region.
- Experience building sales plans and strategies to meet company objectives on a regional basis.
- Strong capabilities in relationship management and excellent negotiation skills
- Intuitive ability to prioritize efforts and quickly identify and resolve challenges
- Proven understanding of the sales value chain and interaction between distribution partners, suppliers and customers to proactively manage relationship between these stakeholders.
- Ability to gain trust and respect from customers’ managerial and engineering teams.
- Business acumen and technical aptitude.
- Self-motivated team player with ability to balance personal goals with those of the broader organization. Strong work ethic.
- Willing to travel a minimum of 50%

Compensation/Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $ $102,000 – $135,000; the pay ultimately offered within the expected range may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus eligible and there is a range of medical, dental, and vision benefits available, as well as a 401k saving plan and other benefits and plans, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
