We’re looking for a Regional Lead Technician to join our team.
The Regional Lead Technician (RLT) will be supporting clients within the Region which will require travel and overnight stays. They will monitor and manage the quality of the work of other Field Service Technicians while maintaining their schedule as this is a role with high client visibility.
What We Need & What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Interacts with customers responding to technical questions or requests for information
- Processes timely and accurate information to ensure compliance with warranty requirements of vendors
- Maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction by resolving all tangible problems and concerns
- Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support. This includes service that exceeds response time, repair time, lack of parts, or any other issue that could impact customer satisfaction
- Performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment
- Performs basic computer hardware/equipment installations
- Completes Check-in/Check-out in ServiceNow per site visit
- Performs issue management in ServiceNow
- Responsible for vehicle maintenance/management/service
- Is flexible and responsibly completes duties and projects on short notice
Who You Are (Qualifications)
- Able to work at heights of 25-30ft and operate scissor or boom lift equipment
- Able to lift at least 50lbs
- Travel is required at least 75% of the time and you should be ready to travel at any given time
- Able to install, terminate and properly label a variety of cable types such as: CAT3, Cat5, Cat6, speaker and coax cabling, with a specific focus for this position on Installing and Terminating Single and Multimode Fiber Optic cable in retail and corporate environments
- Able to install a variety of infrastructure equipment, including but not limited to data racks, patch panels, cable trays, J-hooks, rigid and flexible conduits, etc.
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer and phone hardware and peripherals
- Execute preventative maintenance
- Check Project Vendors work to ensure quality and report any issues
- Creates tickets and maintains asset records via Service Now reporting system
- Support, train, and instruct field service technicians, remotely and in the field. Work effectively as a member of this team and be a leader
- Works on Complex issues, providing an analysis or evaluation to leadership
- A strong competency in the troubleshooting of LAN networks. Specifically, you must be able to minimize or isolate Ethernet issues, and then resolve those issues via re-termination of cabling or replacement of network components. An understanding of Cisco switch and router operations, and the typical protocols used within the LAN domain, are essential
