Sports Site Supervisor
JOB TITLE: Recreation Sport Site Supervisor
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt Part Time
DEPARTMENT: Recreation
SUPERVISOR: Recreation Supervisor and Recreation Specialist
SALARY: $14.00 to $16.00 per Hour
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Supervise recreation division sports and activities at program locations. Supervise players, officials, and spectators at Laramie County School District #1 and City of Cheyenne facilities.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently supervise sports and activities held at schools, outdoor facilities, and gyms.
- Uphold and enforce rules given by LCSD#1 and City of Cheyenne.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from the general public.
- Prepare and maintain fields and facilities for upcoming programs.
- Setup equipment and start games on time.
- Ensure facilities are locked and secure at end of each session.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

- Professional Appearance must wear shirt provided by Recreation Division.
- Understand the organization and operation of the City and of outside agencies as necessary to assume assigned responsibilities.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
- Remain calm during times of an injury or conflict.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including City officials and the general public.
- Be alert and attentive of the program and games going on at the facility.
- Be responsible for keys and other items required to perform said duties.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Required:
Be at least 16 years of age
Previous work experience would be advantageous
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing. The employee is also required to maintain physical condition necessary for operating assigned equipment, walking, standing, kneeling, repeated bending or sitting for prolonged periods of time and lifting to 30 pounds. Maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of making sound decisions demonstrating intellectual capabilities.
Working Environment:
Both indoor and outdoor environments; irregular working hours (Evenings and Weekends)
