Pay Rate: Up to $44/hr. BOE.
Location: Mossville, IL
Shift: First Shift (7:00am-3:00pm) (Hybrid role)

Belcan is currently looking to hire a Design Engineer in Mossville, IL for a top tier client. In this role the Design Engineer will be responsible for design and development of engine mounted cooling components. Responsibilities will also include leading product and process development activity to ensure cooling products are developed to meet time, cost, and quality requirements within budget.
Responsibilities include:
– creation of technical specifications, conducting DFMEA”S/ DVP&R and releasing the part.
– Scope includes NPI, cost reduction, and current production.
– Communicating with other engineering team members, GSND, suppliers, and customers.
– Utilize established standards, policies, and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, and ergonomics.
Education & Experience Required:
– B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace or Agricultural Engineering
– 5 years’ experience working in Component design and validation
Technical Skills:
– Working knowledge of Teamcenter and APQP
– Previous supplier CPPD experience
– Mechanical fatigue knowledge
– FEA (Finite Element Analysis) knowledge
– Strong academic background in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mechanics of materials
– Heat transfer and heat exchanger supplier knowledge
– Some travel (less than 10%) to suppliers and manufacturing facilities is required.
