Essential Functions:
- Inspects shipments (FTL and LTL) for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- May deliver sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and/or log inventory which is (returns) received by FedEx, UPS or other.
- Interact with drivers; perform seal inspections frequently throughout the day (all weather conditions).
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase orders (POs) to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
- May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
- Must safely operate carts/dollies, pallet jacks, pallet riders, and/or forklifts in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
- May operate shrink-wrap and pallet positioner machines and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Must be able to follow all cGMP rules including SOPs, company policies while adhering to PPE.
- Participate in cross-training and other strategic or operational initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Knowledge/Skills:
- Must have a basic understanding of operating systems (used for inbound shipments).
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Must adhere to and follow all safety requirements/policies and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Comply with all OSHA, cGMP, and company initiatives/policies including the use of PPE and safe material handling techniques.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Experience with receiving processes in a WMS or ERP system is desirable.
- 1+ years’ work experience using Microsoft Applications is a plus.
- 1+ years’ experience in receiving, unloading trucks and material handling is required.
- Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and equipment, general knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) a plus.
Reporting Relationships:
The Receiving Technician I reports directly to the Logistics Manager and must work cooperatively (team player) with others in different areas/departments.
