Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) is looking for an Experienced and Senior Quality Systems Specialist (Level 3 & 4) (Statistical Analysis with Applications, and Operational Management) to join 737 Core Quality Team based in Renton, WA.

This position reports to the Business Operations team supporting all areas of quality for the 737 organization. The selected candidate in this role will engage with first-line and senior management to support running the business.

These roles require reliable and competent professionals who can work well with diverse support groups to effectively plan what is to be achieved and involve all relevant stakeholders. Anticipate essential or critical events, identifying resource requirements for specific work, including deadlines and performance expectations. Demonstrate using information-gathering techniques, analyzing situations, and identifying implications to make correct decisions. Demonstrate ability to monitor progress and to make changes as required.

This team focuses on building innovative solutions by developing data driven web applications, data analytic tools and system integration. These tools provide information to make informed decisions across multiple functions. Team integrates multiple technologies such as .NET framework, JavaScript, SQL Server, Teradata, Tableau, and Future state Cloud solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads Quality reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development.
  • Develops Quality budget and cost estimates.
  • Leads multi-function, multi-site groups to develop company directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
  • Leads stakeholders in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions.
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability.
  • Conducts quality source selection and process capability assessments of suppliers’ ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions.
  • Develops Quality criteria for supplier source selection and a coordinated response for review and approval by senior management.
  • Develops scope, schedule, plans and leads hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements, and reports results to management.
  • Trains senior management on preparation for third party audits.
  • Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for complex nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.
  • Assists in the development of new standard repairs for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.
  • Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working with (CMES) Common Manufacturing Execution System.
  • 1+ years of experience with Teradata systems/QAR.
  • 1+ years of experience in Project Management.
  • 1+ years of experience in database management, programming, statistical modeling and/or machine learning (SQL, R, Python, JMP, Tableau, etc.).
  • 1+ years of experience with static (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Visual Studio) and dynamic (C#, SQL, ASP.NET) web development.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced team environment which required strong communication skills to frequently interact with Program Leadership, internal and external customer representatives and development teams.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with systematic problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment and/or business unit team.
  • Experience with Data Analysis, Data Mining, Database Design, UX Research, Product Deployment, Process Improvement, Project Management, Risk Management.
  • Ability to work on time-sensitive activities with high quality output.

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 8 years’ related work experience, 14 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range (Experienced): $86,700 – $117,300

Summary pay range (Senior): $107,100 – $144,900
