Description:
We are looking for summer intern for our Purchasing department. We are looking for practical, hands-on individuals that can think creatively and a self-starter to assist our team develop and improve our processes & systems.
Description of work to be performed:
- Understand & document purchasing process from start to finish.
- Create a training manual documenting full purchasing processes.
- New Buyer Handbook
- Anyone off the street can understand (step by step process)
- Collaboration between multiple departments: purchasing, receiving, planning, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering & MRB Team
- Completed projects will be presented to Management at the end of summer.

Experience:
- Experience working in any industry highly preferred.
Education:
- Students who are in Junior and Senior status working towards a bachelor’s degree from accredited university in Business Administration or related field.
Skills / Certifications:
- Great work ethic.
- Strong motivation to learn.
- Excellent task and time management skills.
- Able to process information quickly and accurately.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Physical and Environmental Elements:

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud. Also, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to listen. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs. Pay Range: $20 to $22/hour
