This position is part of the Get the Lead Out Of Schools Program charged with assisting Missouri schools in successfully implementing and complying with the Get the Lead Out of School Drinking Water Act. The position will assist with contract management to disburse $27 million in funding and ensure the Program is successful in supporting school districts reduce lead contamination in drinking water. This position is a part of the Healthy Drinking Water Unit in the Bureau of Environmental Epidemiology.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in implementing the GLOS funding application process and coordinate, review and process initial applications for funding reimbursement. This includes monitoring and tracking the progress of incoming applications, ensuring they are received and logged correctly in the application system or database.
- Assist in contract management including processing, tracking key dates, maintaining regular communication with school districts/contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and managing amendments.
- Work closely with school districts, establishing relationships, providing technical assistance and monitoring performance.
- Provide technical assistance with contracts in other programs within the bureau.
- Assist in the management and tracking of invoices, including ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations and policies, working with internal fiscal office and external contractors to provide invoice-related information and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Assist and/or coordinate activities related the bureau’s outreach efforts, particularly with GLOS and WIIN grant programs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- A high level of commitment, and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
