PT Fiscal Associate – HEALTH

Pay: $16.54 per hour.

Work Schedule: Monday – Wednesday 8:00am-5:30pm

Perform advanced clerical work in fiscal operations. Perform a wide variety of complex fiscal processes to account for County records and funds. Ensure fiscal processes comply with departmental policies and procedures. Provide assistance and information to the public via telephone. Process client data and must ensure client confidentiality.

Provide direct patient interactions (ex. in person – check-in/out, through email, and over the phone)

  • Schedule appointments, and accurately complete data entry
  • Utilize correct payment status for clients.
  • Informs clients of financial obligation, payment requirements, and encourages initial payment of fees at time of service
  • Provide accurate and up to date program information to clients
  • Handle check-in and check-out process politely and professionally

Perform accurate and timely data entry into electronic records and assure accuracy of encounters and procedure codes.

  • Accurately enter data into KIPHS and DAISEY
  • Audit data to verify information is correct and complete
  • Correct errors timely

Receive and post payments, verify receipts, and research client payment history.

  • Payments accurately posted to client accounts on a daily basis
  • Cash drawer report completed accurately
  • Payment report submitted per policy and procedure on a daily basis
  • Conduct funds accountability prior to a scheduled or foreseeable absence

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, including or supplemented by course work in bookkeeping, accounting, or related fiscal work. Valid State of Kansas driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.

Preferred Qualifications: Course work in bookkeeping, accounting, or related fiscal work. One year experience in fiscal work, billing, and/or customer service environment. Bilingual in English and either Spanish or Vietnamese.
