Job Summary:
The Sacramento River Cats are seeking a highly-motivated individual to assist in creating a fun and entertaining atmosphere at Sutter Health Park. The Promotions and Production Assistant will support audio/visual needs, in-game promotions, and game entertainment activations. An ideal candidate would have some experience in game day production and a basic understanding of the game of baseball.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the Promotions & Production Manager and control room staff to ensure proper execution of gameday script.
- Ensure information provided on audio/visual outlets is correct and relevant at all times.
- Operate control room equipment and software as needed (Daktronics Show Control, NewTek 3-Play, ATEM Black Magic Switcher, Click Effects Baseball, Sound Director and Broadcast Cameras).
- Coordinate with Cat Crew, Dinger, and emcee to ensure proper execution of on-field promotions.
- Assist with the on-field execution of pre-game group experiences, performances, and the run of show
- Collaborate with the marketing team in the planning and execution of theme nights and giveaways.
- Assist with filming and editing video content for in-game elements
- Lead on scheduling National Anthems, Orange Friday bands, and other performance elements as needed
- Lead in the control room for select non-baseball ballpark events
- Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Provide interdepartmental audio/visual support as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Ability to operate broadcast camera and industry-standard control equipment.
- Experience shooting and editing videos for public consumption.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Premiere Pro).
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable engaging with fans.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Previous graphic design experience a plus.
- Basic knowledge of the game of baseball.
- Must be able to work a variety of hours in order to accommodate game days and events.
Education and Experience:
- Experience in control room setting is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
