Project/Program Manager Staff

Job Description

The designated Project Manager will be the primary interface to the Customer for a large hardware replacement effort, and Juniper’s locally based consultants, on day-to-day issues and coordination of resources. Engagement will require candidate to control costs, manage resources, be able to deliver to a budget and regularly provide concise status reports that are presented to various Customer groups. Work will be delivered in a mix of remote and onsite support at a Washington DC Area customer site 2-3 days per week (or as the engagement requires).

Job Content/Scope

  • Plans and manages a project from initiation through delivery; directing and providing support, direction to the project team, removing roadblocks and influencing stakeholders.
  • Drives and is accountable for delivery to be on time, on budget and agreed upon quality, to defined objectives.
  • Manages and takes corrective action where necessary to ensure project success.
  • Improves upon existing processes and defines new processes to ensure successful execution and control of the project.
  • Delivers the highest level of customer service to ensure success.

Deliverables

  • Coordinate all aspects of the migration from planning through completion, including:
    • Budget management
    • Establish resource requirements, & allocation
    • Project schedules and dependencies
    • Project base lining, and monitoring, and corrective action.
    • Communication mechanisms including, project status reports & dashboards, meeting agendas and minutes, exec reports and presentations.
    • Execute change control, quality, risk management, and communication.

Required skills & experience

Technical Skills:

  • Essential – Delivery of network solutions into Enterprise and/or Service Provider account
  • Ideal – Juniper Security Products, Network understanding
  • Advantageous – Delivery of software and network projects; through lifecycle, from conception to acceptance leveraging both the Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Experience/Background Desired

  • Extensive experience in delivering network solutions and an understanding of integration into OSS/BSS/IT in Service Providers and/or Enterprise customers.
  • Proven history of success in a customer-facing Project Management role at all levels
  • BA/BS degree in a related area or equivalent project management experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a target date of when this would be obtained.
  • Formal training and/or Certificate in project management from university or accredited program, preferred.
  • U.S. Federal Government Security Clearance preferred or attained in prior role.

Travel – 25% w/1-5 trips domestically each year.

Minimum Salary: $108,900.00

Maximum Salary:$166,980.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $108,900.00 and $166,980.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
