NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range
$88,600 – $172,300
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like
Organization 10412 is seeking a self-motivated Project Manager (PM) to join the deployed PM services team supporting the Power Sources Capability project as an Integrated Master Scheduler (IMS).
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Bring a complex schedule together with multiple dependencies and multiple sub projects.
- Provide status reports and updates to various levels of management and recommends corrective action.
- Conduct monthly reporting utilizing EVM in accordance with DOE Order 413.3b.
- Partner with project managers, technical leads, project controllers and/or managers to make recommendations to influence key decision makers within the scope of project controls (work breakdown structure, schedule, and budget / cost).
- Partner with key project SME’s and CAMs to develop and define schedule task definition, sequencing, duration estimation and resource loading for schedule development, and implements controls to ensure that the project is completed on time.
- Manage changes in project scope, schedule and budget using the appropriate change control system.
- Analyze forecasts to identify issues before they become problems, enabling projects to react timely and develop appropriate solutions.
Qualifications We Require
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline plus 5 or more years’ experience in Project Management; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Proficiency in tools and applications commonly employed in project management activities.
- Experience executing project management on complex projects in accordance with DOE Order 413.3b.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance.

- Knowledge of and experience with standard project management practices including project plan development and control, scope management, project scheduling, cost estimation and management, quality assurance, resource management, communications planning and management, risk and opportunity management, and procurement management.
- Demonstrated teaming skills, including the ability to work effectively with other organizations, functions, project sponsors and customers, and suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and communicate across project controls, business disciplines and CAMs.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to collaborate with facilities.
- Demonstrated organization skills.
- PMP certification.
- Experience leading project(s) through the PM lifecycle.
