Project Manager (Infrastructure)

Brown and Caldwell’s Portland office is looking for a Project Manager to help manage and execute infrastructure projects for our Oregon and southern Washington municipal clients. Detailed Description:

Responsibilities include civil/mechanical engineering and project management for a variety of projects to provide planning, evaluation, design and construction related activities for water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems, pumping systems and related facilities. In this role you will supervise the work of others and provide technical support in specialized areas. Our ideal candidate will be a project manager and technical leader, manage client relationships in the Portland area and surrounding region, and participate in business development activities. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop scope, schedule and budget for projects.
  • Develop proposals and presentations including project understanding and approaches, and level of effort estimates.
  • Lead teams to develop and prepare specifications, detailed design drawings, reports, planning, and engineering services during construction.
  • Provide technical and quality control review of study, planning and design documents.
  • Prepare calculations, models and other technical deliverables for civil/utility, conveyance and infrastructure related projects.
  • Utilize internal project management tools and resources to provide successful management of large projects that meet or exceed the project success metrics.
  • Coordinate with project managers, client service managers, and other project personnel from other disciplines.
  • Direct the work of, communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines (drafters, designers and other engineers).
  • Execute activities on projects for master planning and modeling of water/wastewater/stormwater conveyance systems.
  • Oversee and direct the work of drafters, designers, and junior level engineers assigned to projects.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and for professional meetings.

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $111,000 — $152,000
