This Ops Integration Program Manager (Cost, Schedule and Technical) will lead cross-functional teams to manage the Amazon AIR future capacity needs requiring launching new capital projects, manage the portfolio of POR & Retrofit projects, and scope cost savings solutions in concert with our broader operations, process engineering, network planning and engineering partners. The Program Manager will scope large-scale projects, track project timelines, and develop mechanisms for communicating to senior management on status, risks, and business challenges. Cross-team coordination, project management, navigating through ambiguity, executive writing/presentation skills, Think Big on project scope, Dive Deep on project financials and a proven history of delivering results are essential for success. This position will include regular direct communications with senior leaders in the company. Successful candidates will have prior engineering or project management experience for delivering projects in automated material handling equipment, robotics, and high-speed sortation.

Key job responsibilities

– Managing cross-functional project teams, and end-to-end planning/organizing/executing complex projects across multiple organizations (Ops Integration, Operations, Network and Capital Planning, Engineering, Finance, Sourcing) to enable the launch of new facilities and processes

– Working with key business and engineering stakeholders to implement the vision, strategy, and business requirements for AIR’s portfolio of future investments in facilities, retrofit projects and automation

– Writing business requirements and operational specifications, including diving deep with cross functional partners to outline details within their own functional area of expertise

– Coordinate all aspects of change management including stakeholder engagement, consensus building, transition planning, monitoring & control related to new retrofit projects

– Building strong partnerships with operational leaders to identify the impact and deployment of new business initiatives in operations

– Using Agile Program Management tools in managing a vast portfolio of multiple projects including but not limited to Schedule, Cost, Risks, Issues and Opportunities tracking and reporting

– Escalating risks in the project plan to the relevant owners and teams and following through to resolution

– Navigating through ambiguity and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the cross-functional processes and delivering on commitments

About the team

Ops Integration Program Management manages cross-functional programs across Global AIR. Program Managers drive improved organizational effectiveness by providing an integrated platform for project and product management to senior AIR leaders with the visibility into how projects interact across Ops Integration/AIR verticals and impact topline goals. The scope includes large scale projects that deliver AIR’s strategic plan and objectives as defined in business planning cycles.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of program or project management experience

– 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

– Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

– Bachelor’s degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

– 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

– Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

– Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

– Master’s degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
