Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is a not-for-profit social service agency with more than 100 program sites throughout the state of Illinois. Our services include mental health and substance use treatment; services for returning citizens after incarceration; housing and services for older adults and individuals with ID/DD; and a variety of services for children including foster care and adoption.

LSSI is looking for a dynamic individual to join their Program Development Team, a team whose mission is to support LSSI’s Behavioral Health programs through improvements, implementations, and expansions. Through project-based support, this role will work with programs to be more efficient, effective, and to ensure contractual/performance measures are met.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with programs and business services in team-based projects for program expansion, development of outcomes, and implementing process improvements.
  • Perform data analysis for performance metrics and outcomes.
  • Assist Leadership in performance management.
  • Development of process workflows and procedures.
  • Business planning, budgeting, revenue planning.
  • Collaborate with Programs to help them achieve successful implementation of program performance & outcomes.
  • Lead projects through project management process; assigning tasks; identifying challenges; being solution-focused; keeping the project moving forward.

Position Qualifications:

  • 3+ years previous experience managing behavioral health programs. Developing/implementing social service programs a plus.
  • Have experience with program performance and reporting. Grant writing experience is helpful.
  • Masters degree preferred in social work, healthcare, public health, or public administration.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid Rule 140 & SUPR Rule 2060 regulations is a plus.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis; good written and oral communication skills; independent worker able to work in a team.
