Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking amazing Program and Construction Management Intern to join our team in our Atlanta office. Our exciting projects are infrastructure based and include traditional bid projects as well as Design-Build and other alternative contracting mechanisms. In this role, you will use your education and experience within the discipline of program and construction management to work on a variety of challenging projects. If you have a willingness to learn and aptitude, along with technical, organizational, and communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Role accountabilities:
- Problem Solving
- Research
- Maintaining and potentially building project schedule(s)
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs by hand and/or using software enabled applications
- Track market conditions and construction costs
- Building detailed engineering cost reports, change notices, and other cost control tools.
- Meetings at construction site or client facilities
- Assisting with reviewing construction claims
- Database entry, tracking, and reporting
- Provide observation of construction activities and document activities on required reports/forms.
- Reviewing materials for project specifications conformance
- Interpretation of plans and specifications.
- Inspect roadway and structures for conformance to plans and specifications.
- Assisting with procurement activities and contract management
- Assisting with financials
- Assisting with grant applications and management
Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
Requirements:
- Pursuing a Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or other related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.
- Ability to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously. Construction project and program level scheduling
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Primavera P6
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications
- Hands-on experience in construction with infrastructure projects.o
- Knowledge of finance or grants
- Knowledge of contracts and procurement
- Currently holds or ability to obtain professional certification such as Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), or PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), or EIT

The salary range for this position is $15 – $25 / hour.
