Job Description

About the Production Planning Clerk Role:

Bring your previous Production Planning and leadership experience to the Chromalloy team. In this collaborative role, you will be a pivotal member of the Operations team and be responsible for planning and prioritizing workflow of component repairs within other Chromalloy sites. The position will be responsible for generating and maintaining repair orders, establishing expectations with other Chromalloy sites, scheduling delivery dates based on assembly schedules and maintaining regular communications with vendors and operation on schedule changes.

Responsibilities Include

  • Work with site planner to return material to assembly kits.
  • Work collaboratively with Leadership and coworkers to prioritize and identify production failure points to remediate and ensure timely engine deliveries to the customer.
  • Proactively coordinates material requirements with Procurement to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials.
  • Utilize CITS/EPICOR System to generate and implement purchase orders to the supporting Units, with targeted dates of delivery.
  • Communicate anticipated demand levels and delivery of product to the supporting units.
  • Acts as an informal leader/influencer of others by articulating relevant facts, statistics, and real-time information to gain consensus within the leadership team to take actionable next steps.
  • Forecast and communicate workflow and estimated completion dates to stakeholders.
  • Inversely report back status and progress of orders to Operations.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend changes to production processes, systems, technology, or equipment to enhance the organization’s production capabilities.
  • Leverages customer communications and resolution skills to support a high-level of customer service.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

If you have a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or relevant discipline, along with 3-5 years of experience in a fast paced, collaborative Production Planning role, then joining Chromalloy is a great career move! In addition to your education & experience, as a team player you will also have the following skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing data systems, data analysis and associated financials.
  • Hands on experience working in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • 1-2 years of engine overhaul experience
  • Experience in sourcing and procurement – preferred but not required.

Salary Range: $60,800-$91,200
