Description
JOB STATEMENT: The Production Line Lead is assigned to one of the three Shift Supervisors and rotates with that assigned Supervisor on a quarterly basis as set by the Department Manager. Line Lead is responsible for leading, coaching and assisting the production personnel to ensure their assigned line and the department, along with all equipment in the department is operating at the best possible efficiencies to meet production requirements. The Production Line Lead must be able to work independently, while ensuring all operational procedures, job descriptions and practices created by Barrel Ten Quarter Circle and Hacienda management are met. Assist in the continuing training and direction of Forklift Drivers, Relief Operator, Operator1, Operator-2, Junior and Senior Techs. Work directly with and follow the direction of the Shift Supervisor. Keep safety in the highest regard.
Essential Duties:
- Understand and comply with all ISO 9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes
- Complete a weekly Safety walks-through on your assigned line
- Track and complete downtime reports and production paperwork
- Ensure all new employees: Are trained for their particular job, know all safety rules and regulations, are familiar with all line E-stops, and understand rotation between positions
- Must be able to operate all machines on assigned line
- Ensure all employees are following all company practices, policies and safety procedures
- Make sure all recycle materials are in the correct container, clean and organized
- Complete and exceed in all company requirements and goals of position by year-end
- Attend all safety meetings as required by Manager
- Assist Shift Supervisor with all shift personnel for their job performance, cross training of all positions, and assist other departments as directed by Shift Supervisor or Manager
LINE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check case printer for proper label
- Turn in paperwork for your shift
- Write report on any problems or issues
- Ensure proper paperwork is out on the line
- Follow and meet all product standards (QA)
- Keep track of your materials i.e. glass, corks, foils, labels, etc
- Monitor production, to ensure we are meeting schedule
- Assist in the rework of holds
- Assist in holding employees accountable to job descriptions and responsibilities
- On line 80% to 90% of time making sure line is clean, running properly and safe
- Work side-by-side with employees to understand their positions
- Cover with on-coming Supervisor / Leads the events of the shift
- Obtain forklift certification and operate forklift for fill in
- All equipment to be clean and free of materials, glass, wine etc.
- Floors are swept and mopped
- Ensure all recycle materials are in their correct place or bin
- Ensure outside recycle area, break room, restrooms cleaned, patio areas are cleaned
- Clean room floors, walls and windows are clean
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Production Manager, Operations Manager or General Manager
