Summary:

The eCommerce Product Owner will partner with other Product Owners, business partners, and other stakeholders to translate eCommerce product strategy and vision into a detailed, prioritized backlog of epics, features and user stories. The Product Owner will collaborate with an agile delivery team to implement, measure, and learn from the improvements they have made.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines and communicates the minimum viable product (MVP) for a given application/product and the supporting release plans.
  • Collaborates with Product Managers and technology stakeholders (e.g., Systems Architects) to define new and or enhanced product requirements and functionality.
  • Collaborates with Product Managers to support the prioritization of feature enablers defined by architects within the product roadmap.
  • Collaborates with Scrum Masters to ensure the work managed by teams achieves the highest value relative to the needs and priorities of the business.
  • Participates in PI planning and builds and maintains the eCommerce team product backlog.
  • Defines sprint and program increment (PI) goals and objectives with the team.
  • Ensures that all stakeholders communicate effectively with one another and serves as a connection between the business, development, and other stakeholders.
  • Defines business and IT goals for program increments.
  • Identifies, refines, and decomposes business requirements in the form of epics, features, and user stories with a clear acceptance criteria roadmap.
  • Reviews the eCommerce team backlog for each sprint, including coordinating dependencies with other team product owners.
  • Drives business strategy by forming a backlog of features and user stories for use by the delivery team.
  • Manages product backlog and articulates requirements for each user story with detailed acceptance criteria. Supports the eCommerce Operations team in delivering value.
  • Ensures incremental delivery constantly by looking for ways to meet business goals and learn from members and end users through frequent, measurable enhancements.
  • Works collaboratively and uses best practices with the delivery team to support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and long term release planning. Monitors and improves product health.
  • Takes accountability and is responsible for user story release/acceptance criteria and performance in production.
  • Owns responsibility for defining/refining user stories/tasks and providing real-time support to the eCommerce operations team.
  • Ensures completed stories meet acceptance criteria by reviewing test plans, the output of automated testing, or, where necessary, contributing to manual testing efforts. Prioritizes and collaborates in the resolution of issues and defects.
  • Seeks and improves processes across the delivery and product team by using retrospectives to inspect and adapt.
  • Communicates effectively with team members, stakeholders, and all levels of management.
  • Works with stakeholders to identify solutions that support their business requirements.
  • Maintains the Product Backlog and prioritization.
  • Maintains all the dashboards and reports the progress to leadership.
  • Works across teams to define and implement improvement tasks to increase overall quality and velocity.
  • Leads or participates in all Agile Ceremonies including, Daily Standups, Sprint Refinement, Retrospectives, and team collaboration events.
  • Identifies dependencies and collaborates with stakeholders to get the commitment on dependencies.

Education:

  • Four (4) year degree, advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

  • AT least 5 years of Product Ownership/Management experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Experience working in SaaS with enterprise customers.
  • Experience planning and delivering products in an agile environment.
  • Demented ability to process ambiguous inputs, frame problems, discover solutions and deliver value to customers and the business.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and executives.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of the product planning process and how to drive cross-functional teams from strategic ideation to execution.
  • Ability to lead multi-level cross-functional teams with the with an internal partner-as-client approach.
  • Familiarity with product life cycle planning and the ability to gauge market/customer needs, prioritize needs for Product Solutions team, support product trials and develop product launch plans.
  • Needs to be able to work independently and assist in mentoring team members.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $73,066 – $146,131 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.
