Product Manager (Digital)

Since 2011, Bespoke Post has been introducing our customers to small, under-the-radar brands and products through a cross-category e-commerce shop and monthly membership service. From clothing, to camping gear, cookware to barware- our mission is to help our customers cut through all the clutter and find quality gear from small brands that care about their craft.

We’re looking for a Product Manager who is passionate about DTC subscription and e-commerce retail. The Product Manager will develop streamlined digital experiences based on data analysis, consumer research, business needs, testing and best practices. You will be responsible for research and analysis, ideation, and implementation of technical requirements and product specifications in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The role will work with a cross-functional team throughout the product lifecycle of sprint planning, feature development, QA, launch, analysis and iteration. The ideal candidate should have experience working across departments with UX/UI design, full-stack engineering, marketing, analytics, copywriters and content teams. This position requires a passion for the customer experience, customer centricity, data-driven decision making, continuous optimization, and the ability to manage a number of partners and projects.

Reporting into the Director of Product, the Product Manager will work with our Product team to improve our backend and frontend tooling and features to deliver a best-in-class digital shopping and membership experience.

You will:

    • Drive the digital product roadmap process by working closely with Engineers, Product Designers and Analysts to test, code, measure and iterate the products being built.
    • Use both your own data analysis and work with our Analytics team to develop and test hypotheses and continuously experiment to optimize the product experience and drive key company metrics.
    • Work closely with UX/UI designers on the Product team to create effective user flows, experiences, and features that improve conversion and drive incremental sales and retention.
    • Collaborate with marketing and retention teams to uncover opportunities for product experience improvements and better customer performance.
    • Partner with the creative team to hit deadlines, collaborate on assets, and make sure we’re delivering great experiences to customers that are on-brand and responsive.
    • Create product specifications based on user requirements and brand vision for handoff to developers in Jira.
    • Run competitive research and user research, and conduct customer interviews, staying on top of industry trends and new technology and platforms.
    • Work with technical leads to ensure the engineering team has ticketing and documentation support, working through the process of QA as well.
    • Coordinate with project management to track and communicate releases, in accordance with the overall roadmap, and work with the content team to deliver timely launches.
    • Work on projects that will include both frontend and backend concepts as well as marketing partnership to accelerate acquisition and increase retention KPI’s.
    • Conduct and evaluate the results of live user testing studies and surveys to improve design thinking and final designs.
    • Work out of our NYC office 2+ days/week in a hybrid model.

The ideal candidate:

    • Has 3-5+ years of experience in a product management role in a fast-moving environment.
    • Has strong project management skills, working with programs like Jira, Asana, Slack.
    • Clear passion for design thinking and being a partner to Product Designers to focus on customer-centric experiences.
    • Has experience both in analyzing data to help develop hypotheses and then constructing experiments to test them.
    • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Has a working knowledge of and experience with Mixpanel and event tracking.
    • Is a process-minded self-starter with experience managing multiple complex projects with ambitious timelines.
    • Is passionate about creating simple, beautiful, intuitive user experiences informed by data.
    • Is a highly adaptable problem solver, is comfortable in a dynamic environment, and is eager to continually learn and grow.
    • Has an analytical mindset and has experience with Google Analytics, Looker, or other business intelligence tools.
    • Has a positive, humble, and scrappy attitude, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

Bonus points for:

    • Experience building retention-increasing digital products.
    • Experience with both subscription and regular e-commerce experiences.
    • Experience with user testing.

    • Starting base salary range of $100,000-140,000 per year
