This position is located in Adult Services under the Care Center Family Violence Program.
Potential for Telework/Remote options may be considered based on training, quality assurance, performance, and/or business needs.
Examples of Duties
The primary duty of this position(s) is to provide clerical support for the Care Center Family Violence Program. Position(s) responsibilities include but are not limited to
• answering a crisis line and a business line
• entering case information into databases
• creating case records
• scheduling appointments for three counselors and one victim advocate
• utilizing Microsoft Outlook email and calendar
• customer tracking
• scanning documents
• maintaining workroom areas
• distributing mail
• ordering and distributing supplies
• copying and filing documentation
• maintaining and performing minor repairs on copiers
• maintaining excel spreadsheets
• and interacting effectively with the public
Employee(s) in this position must be willing to work with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. Employee(s) must be patient and willing to hear traumatic stories and events. Employee(s) must be willing to work overtime if needed. Employee(s) in this position must be team oriented and possess a high degree of flexibility. The position is required to have a general working knowledge and understanding of clerical duties and functions within the section as well as specific tasks assigned by the Care Center Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least one year of office assistant/secretarial experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

The Cumberland County Department of Social Services has a dress code policy that must be adhered to. This policy includes specific guidelines related to tattoos and body piercing.
