Principal Product Manager- M365 Messaging

Microsoft 365 Messaging is the platform that underpins billions of real-time and email-based customer interactions across Microsoft’s vast ecosystem. The M365 Messaging team plays a pivotal role in driving this massive communication network through its platform. Leveraged by Microsoft’s first-party solutions like Teams, Skype, Outlook and Dynamics, or by customer’s line-of-business applications using our third-party integrations through Azure Communication Services, M365 Messaging ensures that every message is routed and delivered with world class latency, reliability and completeness expected from the most business critical scenarios.

The Role:
As a Principal Product Manager within the M365 Messaging team, your role will be instrumental in driving improvements and innovations for messaging, including both real-time and email communications. You will lead cross-team efforts to define, gather, and prioritize business and technical requirements from stakeholders including customers, marketing, legal, and partner teams. You will gain insights and make data driven decisions to improve the reliability and quality of our infrastructure. Your strategic planning will influence the capabilities and the roadmap used to prioritize our engineering investments to help us continue provide a first-class messaging platform for our first party, as well as third party partners and applications.

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience designing and shipping complex products for developers and customers.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience taking products from ideation to shipping, quickly
- Demonstrated collaboration and partnership abilities, with a proven track record of driving results across teams
- Ability to communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries
- Experience with or exposure to Agile and iterative development processes
Product Management IC5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 – $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 – $282,200 per year.
