Position Summary, Duties and Responsibilities
JOB STATUS:
- Part-Time, Non-Exempt
- Hiring Range: $38.67 – $57.67 Hourly
POSITION PURPOSE:
Empower and energize individuals through Pilates instruction, promoting physical and emotional well-being within Apex Park and Recreation District’s dynamic and inclusive community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct Pilates reformer classes with expertise and enthusiasm, guiding participants through effective workouts.
- Ensure participant safety by adhering to First Aid/CPR/AED guidelines.
- Inspire and motivate participants to achieve their fitness goals using Pilates techniques.
- Provide modifications and personalized guidance to accommodate varying fitness levels and needs.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and team members to enhance the Pilates program’s effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments in Pilates instruction.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized Pilates studio environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new fitness initiatives.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: N/A
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 100-hour Pilates training, demonstrating proficiency in Pilates techniques.
- Possess or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire.
- PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to create a welcoming and motivating class atmosphere.
- Ability to adapt exercises and routines to suit participants’ diverse needs.
- Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions and guidance.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of Pilates reformer instructing experience.
Work Environment
- Dynamic and positive studio environment within Apex Park and Recreation District.
- Collaborative team atmosphere that encourages creativity and growth.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
- Leading Pilates classes that involve physical movement and demonstration.
- Setting up and organizing Pilates equipment.
TRAVEL:
- No travel required for regular job duties.
