A high school diploma, or a high school equivalency and one year of experience as a phlebotomist or a certificate in phlebotomy from a recognized college, school, training program, hospital, health care facility, or the Armed services.
Duties Description As a Phlebotomist your duties will include collecting blood samples from residents through venipuncture and capillary puncture and ensuring proper handling of samples and transfer of same to laboratories. Other responsibilities include confirming the resident’s identity and responding to any questions posed, helping train new staff and sanitizing/ maintaining phlebotomy accessories. All phlebotomy services within our facility are in accordance with physician’s orders.
Additional Comments Salary includes Downstate Adjustment of $3,087.00.
