Position Title
Part-time Safety and Security Officer
Job Description
The Part-Time Safety and Security Officer will be required to perform both vehicle and foot patrols of campus. Enforce parking and traffic violations on campus only. Investigate and document on an incident report all criminal activity and traffic accident related complaints. Computer skills required to issue electronic citations with a tablet, and to navigate a T2 Parking Program to issue parking permits. Will be trained on the use of campus cameras. Is responsible to reset fire alarms, unlock/lock building and office doors, and to work with Law Enforcement and Fire personnel. Work schedule of Monday through Friday between 10am to 3pm with Saturdays and Sundays off. Will be required to work some weekday holidays between 10am and 3pm, and some occasional weekend special events.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma required and 3-5 years of security experience. Able to work a flexible work schedule and to be called in for emergencies and special events, etc. Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, valid U.S Driver’s license, and a good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years of college safety and security experience and/or Law Enforcement experience. Ability to work flexible hours and to be called in for emergencies and special events, etc. First Aid, AED, and CPR training is a plus.
Physical Demands
Must be able to walk and stand on feet for several hours a shift. Must be able to drive/operate a motor vehicle in inclement weather. Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds periodically. Able to walk up and down stairs is also a necessity.
Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, ability to manage your time and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and faculty ,ability to have a high level of confidentiality in all areas of position, high degree of problem-solving and high-degree of inter-personal skills preferred.
Salary
$18-$20 Per Hour DOE
