JOB DETAILS
- Day Shift Base Pay: $24.50 Per Hour, plus $1.50 per hour shift differential
- Day Shift 6AM – 6PM rotating days
- Employment Benefits start on day 1
Paint Line Associates are responsible for all aspects of painting metal, including set up, operation, inspection, and material handling activities. Paint Line Associates are expected to work in a safe, productive and cooperative manner in accordance with Ply Gem policies and procedures.
- Responsible for checking the quality of the material as it is run on line: Color, Gloss, Film, T bends, etc
- Recording quality readings in the Quality Data Base. Communicate with PPG paint reps and CCL management how colors are trending
- Set the ovens to the correct family setting and monitoring the metal temp by running heat tapes and monitoring the IR sensors
- Help 39 unwind operator maintain the tank section of both lines
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing and/or maintenance experience required
- Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require
- Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance
- Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player
- Must be able to work quickly with product and able to lift weight amount as indicated on job specific functional capacity evaluation
- Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to concentrate for sustained periods
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with people
- Extensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walking
- Required personal protective equipment, tugger, overhead crane, carts, dollies and some hand tools
- Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times. Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate’s performance appraisal
