We’re looking for a Summer Safety Intern in our Klamath Falls manufacturing plant. This is a full-time, paid summer internship, open to current college students or recent graduates.
The ideal candidate is methodical, collaborative, inquisitive, and eager to learn. Preference given to students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associates’ degree in operations, management, manufacturing, industrial technology, business, or related fields.
LOCATION: Klamath Falls, OR
DURATION: 10-12 weeks – start/end dates are flexible
PAY: $18/hr
AS AN INTERN…
- You’ll conduct safety audits, identify and document hazards/stressors around the facility, and make follow-up recommendations for improvement.
- You’ll provide technical support in the monitoring and implementation of safety programs and policies.
- You’ll research and develop a deep understanding of OSHA guidelines, NFPA and NEC codes, and other state/local ordinances.
- You’ll investigate workplace accidents and make suggestions for improvement.
- You’ll be creating and documenting safety/training procedures, as well as keeping meticulous records for OSHA compliance.
- You’ll help us uphold our culture of safety and maintain a healthy, incident-free workplace for all!
IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU…
- You’re working towards, or recently obtained, a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in operations, management, manufacturing, industrial technology, business, or related fields.
- You’re able to work on site in our Klamath Falls plant for 10-12 weeks this summer (start/end dates are flexible – we will work with your school schedule).
- You have exceptional attention to detail and strive for continual process improvement.
- You’re comfortable with research into OSHA codes, regulations, and other workplace safety ordinances.
- You’re able to communicate well verbally as well as in writing.
