Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is seeking aqualified Overhaul Project Manager to join our team in Orlando, FL. Youwill lead Rolling Stock Overhaul Programs and be responsible to provide and guideoverhaul processes. The individual will have full responsibility for theexecution of the overhaul program, ensuring all identified overhaul andmaintenance tasks are completed within the required timescales.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Implement a comprehensive overhaul program for multiplefleets in line with the Rolling Stock maintenance regime to achieve service andbudgetary targets.
- Create and deliver agreed upon specifieddocumentation to support the Rolling Stock overhaul.
- Ensure that all required maintenance facilities cancarry out the work to ensure the overhaul plan is performed within schedule.
- Work closely with the customer to ensure thatthe Rolling Stock and staff are available at the right time and in the accuratelocation for the work to be completed on time.
- Work closely with the material logistics groupto ensure the material is available at the right time.
- Work closely with internal departments (TSSSAteam and Engineering) keeping them informed or seeking input as the situationdemands.
- Track work in progress, financial execution, andwork with stakeholders to mitigate risks to schedules.
- Critically review the overhaul plans for thefleet, monitor and seek optimization opportunities for validation byengineering and relevant customer counterparts.
- Develop relationships and processes with customerand materials logistics to ensure the performance and supply of the materialsmeet with the requirements of the maintenance and overhaul operation.
- Ensure vehicle configuration management isaccurately maintained during overhaul.
- Work with Quality Department to deliver the”Overhaul Quality Plan”
- parties during overhaul.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. In lieuof Bachelor’s degree, a combination of education and Siemens relevant workexperience will be considered. Eight years of proven experience in acomparable role may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree as well
- Minimumof 3 years’ experience in a rolling stock or engineering position.
- Experience in negotiating or assistingnegotiations on major contracts.
- Previous experience dealing with suppliers andcommercially sensitive issues, preferably within the engineering/rail sector.
- Knowledge and experience with Lean Management.
- The ability to demonstrate an in-depth knowledgeof rolling stock maintenance techniques, processes and procedures alsoinvolving IT, planning systems and maintenance management systems.
- Excellently demonstrated verbal and writtencommunication skills, customer service skills and leadership skills
- Setting you apart from others would be anEngineering with 5 years’ experience in rolling stock engineering.
- Ability to travel 25% domestically.
