Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for project management, leadership, profitability, and client management for the Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering team in our Utility Design group. Responsibilities include project management, financial performance, monitoring of project budgets, staff supervision, scheduling of key projects, client coordination, and responsibility for the design tasks associated with OSP projects. The Project Manager will work with AutoCAD and similar software platforms alongside existing office staff and senior management to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
Responsibilities
• Provide efficient project management leadership and oversight to drive the timely completion of Telecommunication design services
• The Project Manager will be a primary point of contact to the client to report on deliverable completion and manage all financial aspects related to their projects
• Supervise and manage direct reports and production staff’s internal and external workload, ensuring successful completion of tasks within scope, schedule and budget
• Be familiar with all aspects of OSP design associated with engineering telecommunications projects
• Coordinate with in-house professionals and sub consultants to complete all aspects of project design
• Track the progress of multiple ongoing projects
• Financial Management including invoice preparation and accounts receivable
• Proposal scope and budget preparation
• Managing multiple projects and workload with competing deadlines
• Maintain and build effective professional relationships
Qualifications
• 8+ years’ experience in OSP fiber optic and/or coaxial engineering and design
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related degree not required but preferred
• PE license not required but preferred
• Demonstrated AutoCAD/Civil 3D or similar software skills with the ability to design site layouts concept through completion
• Ability to balance competing high priorities, maintain consistent attention to detail, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
• Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations
• Implement quality assurance practices and follow SOP’s to ensure quality is maintained and a consistent product is delivered
• Qualified candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skill and be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies
Salary Range: $96K-118K/DOE
