**Must be a current UMD student with or without work study.**
DUTIES:
• Audit HR/payroll information submitted on forms with HRMS (PeopleSoft) system to ensure data accuracy.
• Assist with record retention project, including analyzing, comparing and scanning confidential personnel files into Perceptive Content.
• Provide administrative support with photocopying, scanning and electronic filing projects.
• Assist with triage of UMD HR email account.
• Answering phones and serving as front desk receptionist.
• Picking up, dropping off and organizing UMD HR mail.
• Support UMD HR staff members on special projects.
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities assigned to you by your supervisor or designee.
• Providing excellent customer service, both verbal and written.
• Communicating with the UMD HR Team to clarify understanding of departmental rules, organization of work, policies, lines of authority, job duties, work schedules and performance standards.
• Developing work and personal habits that contribute to the satisfactory performance of work and that do not cause the University any loss of time, property or reputation.
Work Schedule: During the summer, the hours could be up to 40 hours per week. During the academic year, 10-25 hours per week during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Hours are dependent on student availability and department need.
Starting Pay: This position starts at $15.00 per hour.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be a registered student of UMD and maintain at least the minimum number of UMN required credits.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office, Google, spreadsheets and/or database reports.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organization skills and follow through with assignments.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Human Resources major or minor.
• Office experience, especially work with confidential data.
