Overview
The Associate Manager – Supply Chain Strategy, will lead network optimization projects and analyses that help source, deploy, store, and deliver our portfolio of products to customers at the lowest Total Landed Cost while also supporting long-term growth. This is accomplished by partnering with cross functional teams to link network strategy to enterprise portfolio initiatives. Ultimately, this role will be responsible for building and analysing optimization models using Llamasoft’s Supply Chain Guru software. We are open to candidates within a commutable distance to our PepsiCo hub locations (Purchase, NY; Plano, TX; Chicago IL).
Responsibilities
- Develop robust network optimization models to evaluate project hypothesis and strategic alternatives and quantify model changes in end-to-end supply chain. Each project optimizes the network in terms of fixed investment cost relative to production, transportation, and warehouse costs.
- Develop structured business cases including detailed analyses with clear communication of value levers, in order to provide recommended solutions to complex and unstructured supply chain problems.
- Lead cross functional teams from Asset Optimization, Asset Strategy, Engineering, Finance and Logistics to deliver high quality analyses and recommendations.
- Partner with Finance and Engineering to provide necessary inputs for any Capex requests and approvals and ensure that project recommendations are organizationally aligned.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently and work well under tight timelines.
- Utilize organizational systems and tools for data collection and to build project facts, benchmarking analyses etc.
- Solicits, identify, and develop process improvement initiatives for network model building and to simplify/streamline the process.
- Develops domain knowledge and Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Network Modeling and analytics.
- Assist Optimal team in executing PSA optimization by platform.
- Determine need for new shape flavor nodes and product innovation manufacturing node placement based on network modeling.
Compensation & Benefits:
• The expected compensation range for this position is between $81,000 – $130,000.
• Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
• Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
• Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering/Supply Chain.
- 3-5 experience in a supply chain planning/optimization function utilizing packaged software such as Llamasoft, JDA or similar.
- Must be comfortable handling very large data sets. Ability to create reports in Excel/Tableau or using similar tools. Automate repeat tasks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lead and develop others.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills to be able to automate data input, model execution, data analysis and reporting; Visual Basic /Python programming experience a plus.
- Demonstrated examples of utilizing analytical/mathematical modeling skills to analyze, document, validate and manipulate large amounts of data.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and teams effectively to deliver results in a timely manner.
- Broad understanding of manufacturing operations, planning, logistics and warehousing.
- Assume ownership and become the subject matter expert of Network Optimization models for assigned platforms.
